Talking About Mushroom Food Plots For Hunting Whitetail Deer.. #MycoHabitat | Jason Asselin

When I learned that author/ photographer Richard Smith and mushroom expert Matt Williams @mycohabitat were getting together to discuss the relations between deer and mushrooms they eat, I knew this was something that needed to be filmed.. Mushrooms are a main source of nutrients that deer need to survive, they don't eat mushrooms because they are starving.

Richard Smith has been filming wildlife for years and was recently accepted into a deer herd, where he's been walking with them as they forage in the woods of upper Michigan. He's written a few books and has articles in many magazines.

Matt Williams has been creating mushroom food plots for deer which turns out to be a totally new way of creating food plots for deer. No one in the country is doing this, and so far the results have been outstanding.
