Melting Beach Chairs :)
It is the end of summer and everyone is getting rid of their old beach chairs. I drove around town and saw a bunch of them at the curb for trash.
I picked up quite a few of them to melt down into aluminum bars for future metal casting projects. In this video I will show you how to remove everything from the beach chair to get to the pure aluminum. Then I will melt the aluminum down in my propane melting furnace until it is molten. Once molten I can then pour it into a graphite mold for it to solidify. I Included a special aluminum ingot in this video.
