HIV/AIDS INCIDENCE AMONG ADOLESCENTS SCARES MEDICS

Kalangala, Kyotera, Pader, Kabarore, Gulu, Mbarara and Kampala still top on the UNAIDS list of highly at risk districts with Kalangala at 18.2% and Kyotera at 11.1% HIV/AIDS prevalence in Uganda.
The Executive Director of the Infectious Diseases Institute of Makerere University, Dr. Andrew Kambugu, says it is shocking to note that over 20% of the HIV positive population between 15-49 years in Uganda does not know their sero status.
