The Kybalion is a book published in 1908 by the pseudonymous authors "Three Initiates." It claims to elucidate the teachings of Hermes Trismegistus and is based on Hermetic philosophy. The book presents seven principles that it asserts underlie all existence and can be found in all major religions and philosophical systems. The Principle of Mentalism: "THE ALL is Mind; The Universe is Mental." This principle claims that everything in the universe originates from a universal, infinite mind, which they call "THE ALL." All that exists is a creation of this mind, and the universe itself is a mental construct.

The Principle of Correspondence: "As above, so below; as below, so above." This principle expresses the idea that there is a correspondence or parallel between different levels of existence, from the smallest to the largest, from the microcosm to the macrocosm.

The Principle of Vibration: "Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." Everything is in motion, and everything has its own frequency or rate of vibration.

The Principle of Polarity: "Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet." This principle speaks to the dual nature of reality, with everything having an opposite.

The Principle of Rhythm: "Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." This principle suggests that there is a natural cycle and rhythm to everything, a rise and fall or back and forth movement.

The Principle of Cause and Effect: "Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law." Nothing occurs by chance; everything has a cause and consequently an effect.

The Principle of Gender: "Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes." This principle suggests that both masculine and feminine qualities are present in all things and are crucial for creation and regeneration.

The Kybalion seeks to offer insights into the nature of reality and the universe through these principles, providing a framework for understanding the interconnectedness and laws of existence.
