FYI, this same system works with almost all walls, whether they are concrete, bricks, or blocks.
Drywall and sheetrock are the same things, just different terminologies or names.

If you decide to Plaster over or blend in interior concrete to drywall/sheetrock.
The joint compounds should be purchased according to one's skill level.
For example, drywall compounds set in 20, 40, 60, and 90 minutes and can be applied almost as thick as you wish.
USG and Westpac are really popular for this quick patching.
These compounds come in 20-pound bags of dry powder.
You have to mix with a drill in clean buckets. "it's a bit of a drag." However, the premixed sheetrock compound takes forever to set and requires many coats.
