Came across this excellent example of what you do when you fall into cold water you can stand up in.

You stand up in it.

Yes it’s cold & you don’t want to stand in it for long, but if you fall in and there’s nothing physically preventing you from getting out, then that’s precisely what you do.

So why didn’t Nikki ? What (NOT who) was preventing her from reaching safety?
