The Canadian Parliament gave two Standing Ovations to Nazi Yaroslav Hunka (98)

Yaroslav was part of the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Galician)

The Waffen-SS as a whole was declared to be a criminal organization at the Nuremberg Trials.

Wikipedia will tell you this division has been cleared of war crimes— however, this division destroyed & committed atrocities against several polish communities & other historians say they committed atrocities against Jews and Communists.

This division also played a role in the massacres of Poles in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia… The massacres were exceptionally brutal and affected primarily women and children.

The UPA's actions resulted in up to 100,000 deaths…

But it’s ok… the leader of the Canadian’s House of Commons apologized. No harm done…
