Deion Sanders, also known as "Prime Time," is a hall of fame NFL player and now a college football coach making waves in the sports world. In September 2023, he took over as head coach for the struggling University of Colorado football team after their 1-11 losing season.

Sanders encouraged unproductive players to enter the transfer portal and brought in a slew of impressive new recruits from his previous coaching role at Jackson State. He completely changed the Colorado roster and culture, indicating that some of the original players may want to leave because they won't start on his new team.

In the first game of the 2023 season, Sanders' revamped Colorado team faced off against the ranked TCU Horned Frogs. Despite Colorado being 20-point underdogs, they pulled off a dramatic 45-42 upset victory on the road. Sanders' ability to quickly turn around the downtrodden program demonstrates the immense power of change, innovation and embracing newness.

Sometimes old relationships that were beneficial for a season end up hindering future progress and growth. As people change and move in different directions, don't bitterly hold on to outdated relationships or friendships. Let them go with grace and open yourself to new relationships. While some friends last forever and are willing to grow with you, others remain stuck in their ways and refuse to change. God may strategically remove certain people from your life so you can freely move into new seasons. Don't weigh yourself down trying to stubbornly hold on to the old. Allow new possibilities to flourish.

God is doing wondrous new things and we need to courageously move into them. Don't fear necessary change when it comes your way. Be willing to boldly let go of old ways and systems that no longer produce fruit. Have the flexibility to adjust to changing times, while maintaining your core convictions, faith and Biblical principles. Open yourself to the new season God has for you. Step into the new things He declares over your life. Be excited about new ideas, strategies, relationships and opportunities that will launch you into greater levels of success.
