The surface of the notebook was primed with acrylic primer. You can use acrylic paint instead of primer. Using spackling paste and stencil, I created an imitation of a brick wall. I glued on pieces of cardboard. I made gears and imitation of screws from silicone molds and self-hardening clay. I also used ready-made cardboard forms. Here are the links:
