Are we wrong about the demand for silver? In this Silver Pros video, we discuss the correct way to determine the demand for silver and answer a second question is silver a "critical or strategic” metal. We hear from a lot of silver producers and places like The Silver Institute that we’re running out of silver. Is that true? And what about silver's growing use in electronics and green energy technologies. About 120 million ounces are currently needed just for solar panels! Many silver pundits love to lump the investment demand of silver into the industrial/fabrication demand for silver. But is that the right way to determine if there is a silver deficit or surplus? Right now, mine production for silver is greater than fabrication demand by around 70 or 80 million ounces. Where is all that extra physical silver going? Silver is both an industrial metal and a monetary metal, and successful silver investors look at both. Is there a tipping point historically in investment demand where the price of silver shoots back up? Watch and find out!
