"The Ultimate Plant-Based Delight: Heavenly Homemade Tofu Burger Recipe"

Extra crunchy - high protein tofu burger🤌
I’m telling you- this is a MUST TRY!

INGREDIENTS (makes 2-3):
250g extra firm tofu
¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup rice vinegar
1-2 tbsp sweetener
1 tsp sesame oil

¼ cup flour (all purpose / gf / buckwheat…)
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
water

1 cup cornflakes (I used gf)

¼ small cabbage
1-2 cucumbers

â…“ cup vegan mayo
1-2 tsp harissa (recipe pinned to feed)

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut tofu into 2-3 pieces, pat dry and marinate for at least 20 minutes (or even overnight) in a mixture of soy sauce, rice vinegar, sweetener and sesame oil.

Meanwhile, combine flour, cornstarch, seasoning and water to make the wet batter. Add more water if too thick.
Prepare a second bowl with crushed cornflakes.

Take tofu out of the marinade and set aside to dry while you make the slaw.
Thinly slice cabbage and cucumber. Place in the marinade and refrigerate.

Dip tofu in the wet batter and coat with cornflakes. Fry on both sides until golden brown and crispy.

Finally, mix vegan mayo and harissa to make the sauce.

ASSEMBLY: Slice open 2-3 buns. Layer with harissa mayo, slaw, crispy tofu and more mayo. Enjoy!
