2017 Fidelity Guitars Double Standard demo.

A unique retro-style build from a wee company in Cambridge UK featuring an ash body with one piece ash top, a set of Mojo pickups (Goldfoil in the neck and Filtertron style in the bridge) with series/parallel switching, A Mastery tremolo and a custom bridge with Gotoh compensated saddles in brass.

Quite the looker! It sort of reminds me of the Telecaster Mike Bloomfield once owned that was sawn away to form a second cutaway in the body by someone who may have been drunk. It's sort of ugly but sort of cool too.

Forget the looks though as it sounds absolutely ace and I'm a big fan of the offset tremolo system anyway but with the Tele style half bridge and brass saddles with channels for the strings to go through, it's pretty good indeed!

I'm demoing this through a Carr Skylark set to on the edge of overdrive and the series selection on those Mojo pickups really pushes the amp well into the zone.
The Mojo Goldfoil is sweet: a great blend of warmth but with top end as well. No muddiness on this thing but it's nowhere near thin sounding.

Fidelity Guitars. I looked at their website. Soooooo nice. Must resist another. I got this cheap used, so am very happy with it. It looks weird but I saw the ash body and the Mojo pickups and snapped it up.
