Do You Still Play Your NES Classic Edition IN 2023?

Nintendo has always been an interesting company. They seem to focus more on the future and what's next versus looking back and appreciating their past and their legacy. One of the rare times they did actually celebrate their past was with the release of the NES Classic Edition in 2017. This was the first time Nintendo had done anything along these lines, I mean an emulator, FROM NINTENDO, to play classic NES Games? Well they did it, and people sure bought them in droves. But recently it got me thinking that with all the money people paid scalpers, do you stil play the NES Classic any longer in 2023?

I, for one, haven't powered up my NES Classic in years. I don't think I've even connected it since we bought our new house 2 years ago! I loved this system at the time, and the later SNES Classic, but in recent years it just hasn't hit the mark for my needs. It's still an interesting system, and everytime I play It I have fun, so what keeps me from playing it?

3 - I have the Games on the NES
Between 2017 and today my NES Collection has blown up! I own 25 of the 30 games on the system, and the other 5 I have 0 interest in! I can also play these in 720P HD thru my HDMI-Modded NES, so I get that benefit too.

2 - Poor Performance
I didn't notice this initially, but the more I played the NES Classic the more I noticed the lag inherent in the system. Some games play OK, and a lot depends on your TV, but games like PUNCH OUT are borderline unplayable. This is something Nintendo really should have gotten right.

1 - The Nintendo Switch
I have to say one of the reasons I don't play my NES Classic any longer is because of Nintendo themselves! The Switch ONLINE offers just about all the same games as the NES Classic, but with improved lag, latency, and overall performance. The Switch has completely replaced the NES and SNES Classic in my living room, and I'm not upset by it at all.

Let me know if you still play your NES Classic. Have you experienced any of the lag, latency, or other gameplay issues that have plagued the system over the years?
