2012 Gibson custom shop Les Paul 1956 re-issue

This is a demo of a 2012 Gibson R6 featuring P90 pickups and an ABR-1 and stop tailpiece combination.

This is a recreation of a transitional model which straddles the eras of P90 pickups and the subsequent Humbucker and uses the new arrangement of bridge which replaced both the trapeze style of the original models and the one-piece wraparound bridge of the 1954/5 era.

I am playing this into a Two Rock Classic Reverb clean initially and then using an Origin Effects Revival Drive for overdriven and then very overdriven sounds.

I am using a Rode NT1-A and a Shure SM-57 into a Presonus Studio 68C and Studio One to record with no post processing.

A funky sounding Les Paul with a different flavour to a traditional Standard model.
