Crosman Drifter out-of-the-box review, with speed and performance tests

The Crosman Drifter has been marketed in a “kit,” which includes the Drifter, a carrying pouch, a cool accessory carrier that can be attached to the stock, and a can of Piranha pellets. The name Drifter kind of brings to mind drifting down a stream in a kayak or small boat, so I waited until I visited my in laws’ farm in Missouri to do a true out-of-the-box review. They have a creek, a great back drop for this air rifle (carbine?).

The rifle comes with a carbon fiber type stock with a Paynes Gray blueish color. Looks good. It fires at a pretty good speed, faster that it’s older brother, the Crosman 1322. Plus it is pretty accurate at 25 yards. I even hit a tree trunk from 75 yards away, although by that distance it probably wasn’t much different than a golf ball hitting the fairway.

Excellent looking kit with pretty impressive results

Plus, it can be highly modified/upgraded with aftermarket parts! Whoo Hoo!
