Welcome To The Jungle Bowl

The Jungle Bowl in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, California, is one of the most infamous and influential, empty swimming pools in the history of modern skateboarding. The pool itself was amoeba shaped, which is similar to a kidney, but with a third extra pocket, generally in the midsection opposite the hip and it was pretty gnarly. Baker Pools was the company that made it, looks like it was a late 40s early 50s construction. The house itself had been burned down and there was no structure left just a foundation and the entire property was completely overgrown with poison ivy and all the stuff you see in the pictures lots of other random plants I don’t know the names of but the pool itself was very historic. Very little footage was shot there due to how obscure the location was and you really needed an invitation to find it. If you were lucky enough to skate the jungle bowl in the late 90s early 2000s let us know what your experience was like, in the comment section. It was one of my favorite empty swimming pools I’ve ever ridden in my entire skateboarding career and once in a lifetime empty pool location. It was a total package, glad to have that experience growing up…
