Bay Marine Park in Maputoland KZN, South Africa is famous for its turtle rookery. They are mostly loggerhead and leatherback turtles and are the only turtles that lay eggs on the coast of Maputoland. We were lucky to encounter several turtles on 2 separate dives. Loggerhead and hawksbill turtles are omnivores throughout their lives. Leatherback turtles almost exclusively feed on jellyfish and hawksbill turtles primarily feed on sponges.
