Hernando County, FL School Board Meeting 9/19/23—Diane Liptak addresses the continuing efforts by the Board to silence the public and impede the 1st, 4th and 14th Amendment Rights of ALL citizen stakeholders. She also recounts the shameful history of this Board enforcing mask mandates on the school children for an additional 17 days following the issuance of Governor DeSantis' Order ending mask mandates, in opposition to the public outcry from parents and citizen stakeholders alike.

Diane also notes that mask mandates were continued for PUBLIC school board meetings AND ENFORCED into the 21/22 school year, ONLY FOR ADULT ATTENDEES at public school board meetings—long after the Governor's Executive Order 21-102 (dated 5/3/21), which eliminated any requirements for masks in public buildings and office space. The School Board continued use of a mask mandate strictly for public meetings was clearly designed to discourage attendance among citizens who refused to comply with unconstitutional mandates. All of these actions were "outside the scope of their authority" and therefore UNLAWFUL under USC 18 Section 241 and 242, plus USC 42 Section 1983.
