Commencing well in advance of his 2020 reelection campaign, Trump's team has been actively involved in reconfiguring regulations in numerous states, and this endeavor continues. Recent modifications to rules by the Republican parties of Nevada and Michigan appear to be tailored in favor of Trump.

Despite a crowded field of candidates in the current election, it was exclusively the Trump campaign that undertook the demanding task of collaborating with state parties to harmonize their regulations with Donald Trump's preferences, as noted by Ben Ginsberg, a seasoned GOP attorney who has represented presidential campaigns of George W.
