“Toleration of Sin is Itself a Sin”
24th In our series the Epistle of 2nd Peter

The Wages of Unrighteousness - 2 Peter 2:12-14
* Their mind is darkened by sin
* They don’t have understanding of God or His Holy Law
* They blasphemy God’ Holy Law - Matt 24:12
* Their ways are the path of destruction
* Solution: Take every thought captive to the Lord Jesus Christ - 2 Corinthians 10:5
* Spots on your Agape feasts
* Sexual immorality is their game - Revelation 2:20-24
* Making captives of the gullible - 2 Timothy 3:5-7
* Sins even pagans would not tolerate - 1 Corinthians 5:1-7
* Sin with a stepmother 
* The church was proud of their toleration of this egregious sin

The Problem of Lawlessness in the Church 
* Jesus teaches us how to walk through sinfulness among the disciples - Matthew 18:15-18
* Sin confronted first one to one
* If that doesn’t succeed in bringing repentance and restoration, go as two or three
* If that doesn’t, bring it before the leaders of the body
* If that doesn’t succeed bring it before the whole church
* The goal is always restoration
* The unrepentant is to be treated as a non-believer, seeking their salvation
* The sinner was restored - 2 Corinthians 2:6-11 
* Restoration of the repentant is crucial for them
* Paul rejoices with a church obedient to the Lord Jesus
