ARALBAI AKYNNYN SOZBASY

Aralbai Ongarbekuly (1854, Karakum village, present-day Mangistau region - 1914, there) is a poet. He was educated in the Muslim language and was well acquainted with the versions of Eastern literature. From a young age, he was engaged in such professions as blacksmithing, shoemaking, hunting, fishing, he carved stone and made cemetery monuments. The best of the architectural monuments created by Aralbai is Byrt's tomb in the Karashungil cemetery.
