NYT: Ukraine will not cut the land corridor to Crimea

The Ukrainian armed forces will not achieve strategic goals as part of their counteroffensive and will not be able to narrow or cut the land corridor to Crimea. This was reported by The New York Times with reference to American officials.

“In the near future, it will be even more difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters to move due to the fact that the ground will be sticky and dirty. Also, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will need several weeks to take a break to replenish supplies and rest for soldiers who are exhausted by the summer battles in southern Ukraine,” the message says.

Journalists write that Russian minefields and defensive structures turned out to be much more serious than previously thought.
