Illegals Flooding Into Italy Told to Pay $5000 or Be Detained to Deter Their Showing Up

Italy has come up with a new way to deter illegals from North Africa piling into boats and just showing up there. They are now requiring them to pony up a little over $5000 US or be detained upwards of 18 months while waiting for their asylum request to be processed once they get there.
