Today we will look at the reason why the UK economy has been in the doldrums for over a decade and why we are continuing to see the pound in our pocket shrink in terms of purchasing power.

Many of our current problems have been piling up as a consequence of the banking collapse of 2008 and it has to do with how governments write off their public debt via the pernicious policy of currency debasement or inflation.

My conclusion is that this deliberate inflationary policy will continue and that it does not matter which party is in power.
