A U.S. aid shipment arrived at Benghazi's Benina airport in Libya after a massive flood submerged the port city of Derna, killing thousands of people and washing many homes out to sea.

The U.S. embassy in Libya said Ambassador Richard Norland and the commander of the U.S. military's Africa Command, Michael Langley, were on the plane, and have also met with Libyan military strongman Khalifa Haftar. (AFP)
