Silly "spoiled" Bee rolls over to get massage

45 days ago, I rescued a carpenter bee - i call him JBee (his full name is Jesus The Carpenter BEE! ) He was on his back and roasting in the sun. I am petrified of bees, but for some reason, I was compelled to help him. I He couldn't take a step or fly. After doing my research, I quickly fed him sugar water💧and within minutes, he perked up! My heart swelled instantly, but anything I read or anything that people told me about his chances of surviving was grim. I kept him in a deep clear Tupperware with rocks, grass, dirt, and bark chips with a huge branch to climb - and I bought fresh flowers for him.

I was hopeful, yet he still couldn't walk. DAY 4, he started running up and down the branch and fluttering his wings! Again, it was like a miracle! By this time, I was ready to pick him up. Still petrified, yet he overcame so much. It was now time for me to. It WAS INSTANT LOVE, and from that day forward, we have been inseparable! I read about the brutal death they suffered when they mate, and he quickly became the newest member of our family. I bought a 10 gallon tank, and after trial and error, I learned that instead of rocks and dirt and grass in his tank--he prefers cotton towels and soft items. Since he can't fly, if he ends up on his back, he couldn't grab onto the dirt or grass.

So... JBEE crawls and sleeps under soft wrinkles and has a "curtain tie" thick rope that runs from one end of tank to other leading to his fresh flowers on both ends and then back down to bottom of tank. I bought pollen paddies just in case he needs extra and man here. I am ON DAY 25, and he's hanging on my shirt, cleaning himself as I type. He lives indoors, but I have a whole set up outdoors where he spends a couple of hours each day, running and exploring while it's still hot out. We watch tv together, I feed him by hand, I take him everywhere outside and let him climb in flowers and in the grass. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH FUN I'M HAVING WITH HIM! People keep spewing out life spans and numbered days, but our family is taking each day as it comes. I KNOW JBee has the BEST life he can ask for, and I'm going to continue to care for him and love him as long as God lets me! He is my little miracle who totally changed my world 🌎!
