No farmers, no food. Seems like a no-brainer, right? Well, not to the many governments across the world that are implementing tyrannical policies under the guise of “cutting emissions.” The harsh reality of these policies is that they end up forcing farmers out of the agricultural industry altogether.

We see this with the governmental response to COVID-19, which showed us the grim reality of just how frail our food supply chains are. The pandemic also revealed the ease with which some governments were willing to resort to authoritarian policies to assert control over their populations. Many nations used their expanded emergency powers to usher in extreme climate change policies that targeted the agricultural sector in a bid to reduce emissions, so they can hit their net-zero targets. Many of these policies have already had disastrous results within the countries where they’ve been implemented. Others are threatening to upend the existing food supply chain systems that millions rely on to survive.

And the consensus among the farmers is that these policies seem to be about more than just cutting emissions—in fact, some see it as a veiled power play to take control of farmland. Here to speak with us is Roman Balmakov, host of “Facts Matter” on EpochTV. He has journeyed across the globe to speak directly with farmers in several countries for his documentary “No Farmers No Food.”
