Contaminated Municipal Water - Restoring My Well House

In the mountains those with the option to have municipal water can experience frequent water line breaks. Downed trees, falling rock and mudslides rupture water lines often leading to contaminated water and boil advisories. When your cellphone and radio reception is spotty and this happens over night, how do you find out out before making that pot of coffee in the morning leading to diarrhea? You can't, so I'm restoring the old well house cover so I can fire the water department. We still never drank the well water after realizing that it was over the water table contaminating the well water. That's another common problem in the mountains. No such thing as fresh stream or well water in most areas. You'd be better off harvesting rain water which I'll cover in a future video.
