In his book How to Win Friends and Influence People, Dale Carnegie provides six principles for making people like you:
Become genuinely interested in other people. People can tell when you're being fake, so it's important to be genuinely interested in what they have to say and who they are. Ask questions and listen attentively to the answers.
Smile. A smile is a universal sign of friendliness and approachability. It makes people feel good and more likely to like you.
Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language. When you call someone by name, it shows that you're paying attention to them and that you value them as an individual.
Be a good listener. People appreciate it when you take the time to listen to them and really understand what they're saying. Don't interrupt, and don't make the conversation all about yourself.
Talk in terms of the other person's interests. People are more likely to be interested in you and what you have to say if you talk about things that are important to them.
Make the other person feel important – and do it sincerely. Everyone wants to feel valued and appreciated. Find something genuine to compliment the other person on, and don't be afraid to express your admiration!!!#Moral #influential #Genuine #success #self development skills #honesty #admiration #patience #well-mannered
