There Is Nothing Better Than Homemade Butter

Homemade Butter

There’s nothing like fresh, creamy, homemade butter!
1. Skim cream from the top of milk or use heavy cream from the store.
2. Pour into mixing bowl.
3. Add 1/2 t salt per 2 c of cream.
4. Hand mix or mix on high in electric mixer until butter and butter milk separate. (Warning, it tends to splatter so cover mixer with splash guard and/or towel)
5. Use butter paddles or hang butter in cheese cloth to drain excess buttermilk. Drain thoroughly.
6. Place in mold or container.
7. Save that buttermilk! We use it in our biscuit recipe.
