IWC Cal 44 Restoration - Realtime Cutdown

In this video I record myself restoring (disassembling, cleaning, and resassembling) a vintage IWC automatic watch with an (Albert) Pellaton movement from 1959, referencing video from the disassembly as I put it back together again.

I've never tried to restore any watch movement before. In this video I do my first complete restoration, and to make it interesting I start with the most difficult challenge I could think of - a tiny automatic ladies watch!

This is an edited (2.3 hour) version of the epic 16 hour, two part, real-time full disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of this watch.

The idea behind this series is that realtime videos allow viewers to see how time consuming and difficult watch restoration work is - particularly if one attempts it with no training or experience. These are not training videos, they are about the joy of discovery and of making mistakes and the pain and comedy resulting from those mistakes.
