Teaching Children to Celebrate Differences
7 years ago
We’ve all been told time and time again: “no two people are the same.” August is Celebrating Differences Month and a great time for everyone to be reminded that a disability is only one characteristic and does not define a person. Children with disabilities have their own personalities, likes and dislikes, strengths and challenges. Joining us to discuss the Kohl's Building Blocks program and how they are celebrating differences is Rebecca Michelsen from Penfield Children's Center. For more information on disabilities and how to engage with those affected by them, visit PenfieldBuildingBlocks.org.
