ROBBEN ISLAND: NELSON MANDELA'S PRISON IN CAPE TOWN || TRAVEL SOUTH AFRICA

We booked to go to Robben Island in order to learn more of South Africa’s history and how Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were treated while they were incarcerated in Robben Island Prison. Our guide, Tom Moses, told us a lot of personal stories and about about his time in jail and how he knew Nelson Mandela from his time on Robben Island. Although we didn’t learn so much about Mandela’s story compared to Tom’s, it definitely left us eager to know more after we left, and it was interesting to hear such personal things from Tom. This Robben Island tour video gives you a little insight into what you can expect if you visit.
