In chapter 2 of Part 1, author Bertrand Russell reviews the biographical history of Michel Bakunin, the progenitor of Anarchism.
Russell establishes the basic tenets of Anarchistic belief, explains in broad terms how an Anarchist conceives of the ideal society, and conducts a preliminary comparative analysis of Anarchism as opposed to Socialism.
