Canal and River Trust Gentrification of the canal network?

Are CRT pricing us common people off of the canal network and gentrifying it for the rich and elite - it sure feels like it to me as we face a huge hike in our licence fees, reduced mooring spots due to 'wilding' and long delays in repairs to the network, all whilst spending OUR money on grading towpaths in suburbia for cyclists and the general public at OUR expense. Are you not getting tired of people earning in excess of 200K a year telling those of us that are struggling to pay even more? I think we are witnessing the gentrification of the canal network and are directly attacking our community and going for our red diesel and multi-fuel (log burning) stoves along the way. Is this time for mass non-compliance?

PLEASE NOTE - contrary to what I said about widebeams here in this video I thought more about it and believe that they also should not be singled out as they can't cruise the whole network as there are so many single locks restricted their movement.
