Charlottesville suspect's school hopes to squash hate

James Alex Fields Jr., the 20-year-old accused of killing a woman and injuring several others in the name of white supremacy, graduated from Cooper High School just two years ago. His alma mater was shocked and disturbed to learn what he was accused of doing — and wants to take steps to prevent other students from falling under the sway of hateful ideologies.
