RAVANA'S WALTZ (Final Fantasy XIV) - Orchestral Arrangement Remix

This is an arrangement for full Orchestra of the Phase 1 battle music of Ravana from Final Fantasy XIV. A highly popular piece with an incredible melody originally played in the Cello from the soundtrack, I felt this could really b e developed given its short tune. I also added in a couple of other melodies from the FFXIV soundtrack in an altered meter (from 4/4 to 3/4) for the central part, before bringing the main melody back in canon between the Strings and French Horns.

Video game music is becoming more and more popular. The rise of Videogame music concerts is in increasing demand. Electronic videogame soundtracks made as a remix or orchestral arrangement are fast growing and now amassing huge followings on YouTube. Iconic soundtracks like Super Mario, Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda are some of the most loved and listened to, especially when a musician takes a theme or track and arranges it for other instruments, turns it into an electronic remix or orchestrates it for a full orchestra, all with their own ideas in mind, giving the music a new lease of life, uplifting, relaxing, invigorating and entertaining the listeners, something you would hear on Classic FM. A soundtrack from a Videogame could be turned into a symphonic journey, a waltz, a medley or whatever the artist can create.
