During a Wednesday hearing, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan criticized Attorney General Merrick Garland for allowing potential charges against Hunter Biden to expire. The Ohio Republican emphasized Hunter's involvement with the Ukrainian company Burisma and pointed out that the Justice Department had permitted the statute of limitations to run out on any potential tax offenses committed by Hunter during that period. Garland chose not to provide direct answers to Jordan's inquiries but instead referred to future statements from Special Counsel David Weiss.
