Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) grilled U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland before the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday, leading Garland to claim not to know if any federal agents or assets were present and involved in instigating events at the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021.

This comes on the same day the committee released testimony of Garland’s former FBI assistant director in charge of the Washington field office admitting under oath that so many federal assets were on hand that an audit was later required to determine just how many.

Only roughly a quarter of U.S. adults say having children or being married are extremely or very important for living a fulfilling life, a Pew Research Center survey found.

“When asked what it takes to lead a fulfilling life, the public prioritizes job satisfaction and friendship over marriage and parenthood. Some 71 percent of all adults say having a job or career they enjoy is extremely or very important in order for people to live a fulfilling life. And 61 percent say having close friends is equally important,” according to the survey of 5,073 U.S. adults conducted between April 10-16 and published in September.

Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott’s 2024 reelection campaign scathed Florida Democrats for being “silent” on the U.S. national debt reaching $33 trillion this week.

“How much debt do we have to owe before Democrats stop spending Americans’ tax dollars so recklessly? $40 trillion? $50 trillion?” Scott’s campaign said in a press release.
