A black man is blown away by how society operates outside of ‘the hood.’

I’ve lived in the hood. I’ve lived in the projects. I’ve lived in prisons, homeless shelters, etc.

I moved out of the city two decades ago and never looked back. Best decision I ever made.

What you are seeing is not necessarily a ‘white folk’ thing. But rather a ‘small town’ thing.

This is what the opposite of ‘urban decay’ looks like.

My community mirrors this and we have a lot of blacks, Hispanics, Asians, etc.

Matter of fact, the ‘black area’ in my town I consider the safest and friendliest. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The predominantly white trailer park in my town, is not.
