Las Vegas Casino FLOODS 2022! Taking a look at several pieces of footage from casino flooding in late July at Circa, Planet Hollywood, Caesers Palace, and The Linq, as monsoon season moves across the Sin City Strip. We will also venture outside the city to see how the Las Vegas Wash is handling all the extra runoff on it's way to Lake Mead.

I've been busy documenting drought footage these last 2 weeks and preparing more videos when this much needed volatile weather system entered the area. Out of nowhere, Las Vegas went from bust to boom with rainfall like it so often does.

The question most people are thinking is... will this affect/replenish Lake Mead? Unfortunately not, the lake relies mostly on the Colorado river bringing melted snowpak to replenish its basin. All the channeled urban flood water in this video that eventually goes into the Las Vegas Wash and back into Lake Mead only accounts for around 2% of the lake's supply.

However... we are extremely grateful for any relief that comes and I will be back to making drought updates soon! Stay tuned for a new exciting series in the making called "Behind the Drought". Thanks for watching =]
