The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet

First off my review is insufficient. You really need to check out the Blu-Ray Bunker's review found on You Tube.

Secondly - wow what a trip! This has been sitting on my shelf for nearly a year. I have no idea why I decided to put in it, but wow have I been missing out. This is probably the greatest testimony to the potential of 3D film-making out there. Visually it is absolutely amazing and anyone who considers themselves a 3D affectionato should have it on their shelf.

As a movie it has its barriers. It has an odd style and a somber theme that film geeks will love and everyone else will be weirded out by. It is not a feel good story although it presents itself in a happy-fun package. Its death in the shape of a cherry popsicle and if that description grosses you out then maybe just move on.

My copy is from Hong Kong, "dddhouse" which is a creepy weird looking website - but my orders have so far made it through as expected. On my first order Paypal sent me a weird message that I had been successfully approved for purchases in China. No idea what that was about. This is available from other countries though I am unaware of another Region A edition.

Staring:

Helena Bonham Carter (Anything made by Tim Burton, except Batman why wasn't she in Batman?)
Callum Keith Rennie (Slap Shot 2, Memento, The Butterfly Effect, Fifty Shades of Grey, Goon Last of the Enforcers, Jigsaw)
Kyle Catlett (Poltergeist, The Tick -2016, The Following)
Niamh Wilson (Saw 3 4 5 and 6, Random Acts of Violence, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies)
Rick Mercer (Bon Cop Bad Cop, The Rick Mercer Report)
