That's A Lot of Waste

Waste not, want not is the hallmark of today's Segue City Special as we slide into Thursday with Freddie Fender and Joe Cocker. The Mayor hung out with Freddie years ago in Laredo on the Texas Tornadoes' tour bus along with Flaco, Augie Meyers and Doug Sahm before their show that night. The Mayor's radio station there in Laredo was promoting the show... it was a cultural experience to be sure...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow; Member FDIC; Licensed drivers only; This offer is void where prohibited by law and especially in California and New York...

This feature is a five-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award. Yes, we just keep on winning and it's the sound of music every day... Vos iustus non potest nos occidere...
