The Nike Terra Kiger 9 is rapidly approaching a decade of the model being amongst Nike's most popular trail running shoes. In this review we get into the changes in the ninth version of this trail running classic as well as what's stayed the same.

Probably the biggest change is the Nike Kiger 9 ditching the underfoot Zoom Air pods which have been one of the hallmarks of Kigers past. This time around, Nike has gone with a full midsole of Nike React Foam with a WEE bit of an EVA foam rock plate.

Another change is the streamlined heel cup and collar area. In years past, the rear of the Nike Terra Kiger has been clearly distinct parts making up the construction. In the Kiger 9, the rearfoot is a much more smooth and cohesive single unit.
