Part 10: Warm Malaria
50. When there is aching in the bones and joints, accompanied by vomiting, with a steady pulse, but a rise in body temperature without shivering, this condition is called warm malaria. Treatment can be carried out using the White Tiger Decoction with the addition of Cinnamomum. This manifestation results from the initial damage to yin energy, and the yang energy rising independently, hence the increase in body temperature without chills. It may also cause muscle soreness, similar to the late summer heat, and it falls under one type of warm disease. These two conditions can be easily confused, so they are detailed here for reference.
