Israel unveils new AI-powered super tank

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have officially deployed their advanced, AI-powered Barak tank, which is now in active service and being integrated into the Armored Corps, beginning with Battalion 52, as announced by the Defense Ministry on Tuesday.

The development and production of this cutting-edge tank have spanned over five years, involving a collaborative effort between the Defense Ministry’s Directorate of Defense Research and Development, IDF Ground Forces, the Armored Corps, and the 401st Brigade.

Equipped with advanced targeting capabilities, this tank is engineered to effectively monitor its surroundings, process information, and present it in a user-friendly manner for the soldiers onboard.

One of its key features is the tank’s ability to identify and target enemy forces preemptively, reducing the threat of attacks on the tank, the Jerusalem Post reported.
