Secret Wars opens up with a being from beyond, so far beyond they choose to call themselves the Beyonder. They wish to see how Good and Evil work when it comes to humans, so they kidnap a bunch of good guys and bad guys and dump them onto a hodgepodge world made of various other planets called Battleworld.
