Justice Department Probe Scrutinizes Elon Musk Perks at Tesla

Federal prosecutors are intensifying their examination of personal benefits that Tesla CEO Elon Musk may have received since 2017, a timeframe longer than previously disclosed.

This scrutiny is part of a criminal investigation that encompasses various issues, including a proposed residence for Musk.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York is also actively seeking information regarding transactions involving Tesla and other entities connected to the billionaire entrepreneur.

It has been noted that prosecutors have alluded to the involvement of a grand jury, the Wall Street Journal has reported.
