This video consists of a reading of the introduction to a book written in 1918 by British philosopher Bertrand Russell.
The book tackles the emergent political philosophies of Socialism, Anarchism, and Syndicalism with an even keel and critical approach.
Some may question whether the work of a British philosopher written over 100 years ago regarding the political and social struggles of the day could continue to be relevant in our time.
However, if you are interested in listening, I hope and I think you will find the wisdom and the thinking of Bertrand Russell to be inspiring, constructive, and deeply relevant-and perhaps we will find that our modern struggles as a society are not so novel as we might tend to think.
