The "Equator" on the globe earth model is said to be 24,901 miles around.
How in the world did Captain James Cook, on a supposed "globe" earth, sail a total of 63,000 miles "around" Antarctica, which did indeed take him three years? How can that be? That is around two and a half times more miles than the equator is said to be.
